     Residential Programming

In order to achieve its objectives, Laurel House operates group homes and apartment residences that are geographically dispersed throughout Uniontown and surrounding areas.  The residents not only live in these settings but also receive instruction and training in the areas of community mobility, recreation, and daily living skills.  In short, individuals are taught to become full citizens in every sense of the word.  Encouragement and support is offered by staff to whatever degree is required and in many cases, staff actually live in with the individuals on a full-time basis.
