Laurel House, Incorporated, a noted pioneer in the field of Community
Living Arrangements in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, first opened its
doors to the mentally challenged on December 2, 1970. Over 300
individuals have participated in organizational programming since that
date. As a private, non-profit corporation, Laurel House operates
under the auspices of an administrative board of directors, a CEO and a
program director. The organization also is part of the Fayette
County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program which provides assistance,
guidance, and direction as required to ensure organizational fiscal
accountability and compliance with applicable state and federal
regulations. |
